Pi Day Celebration

close window [x]

Pi Day Celebration

It is time to celebrate the irrational! Pi Day celebrates the wonderful number Pi (3.1415...) We usually try to celebrate it as close to March 14th (3/14) as possible - this year we will have our activities on Friday, March 12th. How many digits do you think you can memorize? The winner receives the glory and a prize! Copies of the first 500 digits of Pi are available in the office (also the first several hundred numbers of "e" and "phi" - start memorizing NOW!)

If you are interested in signing up for the pie eating contest - please let Mrs. Peterson know by Wednesday afternoon so we can make sure we have enough pie!

We will also be completing a new Pi paper chain (the first 1000 digits of Pi) in all of the homeroom classes. We will have a school-wide photo taken on Friday (probably 1st or 2nd period). This photo and press release will be sent to all the local papers so make sure to be there!
