We know it has been a hectic summer and paperwork is the last thing we want to think about, but it's that time once again. If you haven't already, please send in all forms along with the registration, materials and first month's tuition by August 1st.

As you all know, the elementary students have been hard at work all summer learning about the Olympics and having a wonderful time incorporating the summer games into their curriculum in and out of the classroom.
Our own Jo Ashline is writing an article for The Orange County Register on organizing an Olympic event/party for children in honor of the games. Her editor has agreed to use Eldorado Emerson as the back drop for this fun piece and that means that our campus, your students and our fabulous staff will be my models! The event will happen Wednesday, August 1st, right after lunch. There will be a photographer as well as a cameraman at the school to record and capture our "Eldorado Emerson Elementary Olympic Summer Games".
This article will be featured online and will include a video and slideshow of our students engaged in a variety of Olympic "events" such as relay races, balance beam exercises, and sprints.
You'll find a consent form in your child's backpack. Please sign it and return it NO LATER than July 31. Without a consent form, we are unable to allow your child to participate in any event that may be captured on film and featured in the article.
We also need each child to bring a PLAIN WHITE T-Shirt to school no later than next Monday. This is also very important. An undershirt like the ones made by Hanes is perfect. It doesn't have to be brand new, it just needs to be plain; we'll be designing team t-shirts for our Olympics.
If you prefer your child not be photographed/videotaped, please inform Venessa in the front office as soon as possible. We'll need to make sure your child is nowhere near the filming/photographing area and make other arrangements for them during that time.
